I, 001檸檬頭隊長 , was in Macau today (28/2/2009) and thought I’d take a few pictures of their postboxes. Turned out I only saw 4 and 3 were the very large ones, more like a booth with letter boxes on one side and stamp vending machine on the other, as shown in the pictures below (saw just one smaller box but it was then too dark for picture).
Received three pictures (to see them all click here) on a postbox from 古狗 who is now based in Shanghai. The postbox is located on Shanghai’s 香港路 near 浦江飯店, which is very rich in history: built in 1846, it is the first western hotel in China and has played host to a long list of famous guests including, amongst many others, Albert Einstein and Bertrand Russell. Surprise: this postbox is cylindrically shaped and looks a bit like our old ones.
